Crossing a room with mines and lasers
How to get through a trapped room in R.E.P.O., given that the game ships more than one kind of mine, a trap whose activation level follows how rare its valuable is, and museum lasers kept as a system of their own.

Before you start
- A crew that can keep clear of each other
- Something that can be thrown
- A way back out of the room
Steps
- Find out which kind of mine you are looking at before you touch it.
the game ships more than one kind, with a plain mine, a stun mine and a trigger of their own - Expect the trap near the best valuable to be the worst one.
a trap's activation level follows how rare the valuable it guards is - Set a mine off with something thrown rather than with a body.
a mine can be set off by rigid bodies and by forces - Listen for the arming and disarming beeps rather than watching for a light.
a mine names its arming, armed and disarming sounds separately - Treat the museum's lasers as one system rather than as separate beams.
the museum keeps its security lasers as a system with a state and logic of their own
Common mistakes
- Walking into a room before reading which mines are in it.
- Throwing the valuable straight at the trap that guards it.
- Assuming the lasers stop when a single beam is broken.
