Guide
Finishing a run on your own terms
How to end a R.E.P.O. run deliberately, using the truck and the end-of-run states the game already defines instead of drifting until something goes wrong.
Applies to
0.4.0, read from the copy of the game this site was built from (see the sources page)
Before you start
- Loot already carried to the extraction point
- A way to call the crew back
- Enough health left to reach the truck
Steps
- Decide how much you are hauling before you call the run, not while standing in the doorway.
the game separates an ending where not enough was hauled from one where enough was - Walk your own loot in rather than leaving it for someone else to carry.
progress toward the extraction point is tracked for each player - Call everyone back before the last load, so nobody is caught outside.
one of the endings is that every player is aboard the truck - Use the truck to recover before you spend the takings.
the truck carries a healer of its own - Treat the doors opening as the moment the run is over, and stop exploring.
the truck doors are a staged part of the ending
Common mistakes
- Hauling one more valuable after the crew has already called the run.
- Leaving your own loot for someone else to carry in.
- Spending the takings before anyone has healed.
